What is Emotional Balance?
The ability of the mind and body to maintain equilibrium and flexibility in the face of challenges and change.
In mindfulness, this ability is known as Equanimity.
Equanimity is the mental or emotional stability or composure, especially under tension or strain; calmness; equilibrium.
Why is it important to maintain emotional balance (equanimity)?

How to balance emotions?
Understanding your emotions
Checking in throughout your day
Knowing your body (physical sensations)
Stop, pause and be still.
Take a few deep breaths (count to five as you breathe in and breathe out).
Observe (use all 5 senses).
Process (notice emotions, physical sensations, implications, consequences, etc.).
Proceed (excuse yourself, bathroom break, change your view, continue).
